Green city trash cans need to be set out by 7 a.m. Monday morning NEAR the street without sticking out into our streets in Bay Harbor, since they are so narrow. Handle should be facing the house. Pick-up starts early Monday morning in Bay Harbor. Please be respectful of your full-time Bay Harbor neighbors who should not be responsible for picking up your trash if not all properly contained in city trash cans. All trash should fit in your can(s) and be bagged per city directions, so wind or critters do not spread the trash around outside your can. If trash does not all fit, perhaps a neighbor’s can has some space available, if you ask. If you or renters routinely have more trash than fits in the can(s) you have, please secure an additional can. Trash cans then need to be moved back away from the street afterwards on Monday, which is difficult for anyone who is not a full-time resident to do. The Recycling Center is a self-service center located at 702 61st St. (just north of Broadway/I-45). You can also get free mulch there. Click here for hours and other center details.
