Just in case you did not know or maybe forgot; the “Bird Island” is a designated bird sanctuary. That means that during nesting season “February to August” it is a violation of state and federal laws to disturb the nesting birds.
During this time no one is allowed on the island. There are signs on the Island; however, they may not be easily seen. The Island is an asset for Bay Harbor, lets help keep is safe!

It has come to our attention that items have been taken from yards or under homes. It is a good idea to be watchful and careful with your belongings this summer! Do not hesitate to call the police if you witness any suspicious activity.

BHIA Board of Directors’ and Annual MeetingThe Bay Harbor Improvement Association board usually meets on the second Saturday of a meeting month (May, June, August, October, January, March) unless rescheduled by the board, at 10:00 AM, at the home of one of the BHIA board members. All BHIA members are invited to attend and participate in the agenda discussions.
